Shogetsu Grand Hotel launches autumn kaiseki course in Jozankei

Shogetsu Grand Hotel in Jozankei Onsen, Hokkaido, has launched its autumn kaiseki course, ‘Kin no Tsuki Zen’. Available from September through the end of November 2026, the menu features seasonal ingredients designed to reflect the changing landscape of Jozankei.

Key highlights of the course include a seven-item appetizer set inspired by local scenery, such as the Hokkaido University ginkgo trees and the Futami Suspension Bridge. Seafood offerings include six types of seasonal sashimi, such as bluefin tuna, sea urchin, and sweet shrimp, alongside steamed spiny lobster with saffron cream sauce. The meal also features ‘Hokkai no Kuro’ brand beef prepared as yakinabata (grilled shabu-shabu) served with various seasonings like truffle oil and sansho pepper.
