Shohei Ohtani sets MLB jersey sales record amid Dodgers' 100-win season

Shohei Ohtani has set a Major League Baseball record by finishing as the top jersey seller for the fourth consecutive year (2023–2026). This achievement is the first of its kind since MLB began tracking public sales data in 2010, surpassing previous streaks held by players such as Derek Jeter, Aaron Judge, and Mookie Betts.

On the field, the Los Angeles Dodgers reached a milestone of 100 regular-season victories following a 5-1 win against the Giants. While the team prepares for the postseason in pursuit of a third consecutive World Series title, questions have emerged regarding Ohtani’s recent form. Following a 15-day stint on the injured list due to right biceps and left knee discomfort, Ohtani struggled at the plate in his final five games, batting .238.
