Shohei Ohtani skips pitching in Dodgers-Yankees series, serves as DH

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced their starting rotation for the three-game series against the New York Yankees. Right‑hander Roki Sasaki will start the first game, Emmett Sehan the second, and Yushin Yamamoto the third.

Shohei Ohtani, who felt discomfort in his left knee and underwent a fluid‑removal procedure after the June 12 game, will not pitch in the series. Instead, he is expected to appear as the designated hitter, having also missed the All‑Star game because of the same knee issue.
