Statistically, Ohtani’s performance lowered his season ERA to 0.82, placing him among the ten lowest ERAs for pitchers with at least 50 innings since 1913. He also joined Madison Bumgarner as the only pitcher since 2017 to hit a home run and allow no runs through five innings.
