Shoki Oda draws attention following high-speed pitch at Koshien

Shoki Oda, a standout pitcher from Yokohama High School, has drawn significant attention following his performance in the summer national high school baseball championship. During the tournament, Oda recorded a pitch of 157 km/h, the fastest ever recorded at Koshien Stadium.

Former professional player Hiromitsu Ochiai commented on Oda's potential, stating that he believes Oda has the talent to become a starting pitcher capable of throwing 160 km/h and is a certain first-round draft pick.

In preparation for the 14th U-18 Asia Championship in Taipei, members of the Japanese high school national team, including Oda, participated in a baseball clinic at a nursery school in Tokyo. The event aimed to promote the sport and support children's physical and mental growth through interaction with the players.
