Shonan LUV and Gangnam Festival scheduled for October 2026

Two major regional cultural festivals are scheduled for October 2026. In Fujisawa, Japan, the 12th annual Shonan LUV will take place on October 3 at the Sunpearl Plaza near Fujisawa Station North Exit. This reggae-focused festival features local artists and food vendors. To improve crowd management following previous congestion, organizers are introducing a paid 1,000 yen main area with wristband access, while other areas remain free. The event includes daytime music and food activities, followed by evening sessions at local venues near the station.

In Seoul, South Korea, the 15th Gangnam Festival will be held from October 3 to 5, marking its first year at the Dosan-daero location in Gangnam District. The festivities include a large-scale parade featuring traditional military bands, character balloons, and robots. The program offers diverse entertainment such as K-pop performances featuring PSY and ZEROBASEONE, EDM parties, fashion shows, and makeup demonstrations. The festival also encompasses traditional Korean music events and a marathon, with approximately 2,600 security personnel deployed to manage traffic restrictions and public safety.
