Shooting at Aguadulce bar leads to arrest and closure
A shooting occurred during the early hours of Saturday at the Maracaibo bar and nightclub in Aguadulce, Coclé province. The incident began after a verbal dispute between two men, during which one individual was reportedly struck with a bottle.
National Police officers, who were arriving at the establishment to conduct a routine operation, encountered the situation. The armed suspect reportedly ignored commands to stop, prompting officers to use a rubber pellet shotgun to neutralize the threat. The suspect was subsequently apprehended, and a firearm was seized.
Both individuals involved have extensive criminal records, with reports indicating more than 15 prior offenses each, including illegal weapons possession, gang involvement, and drug offenses. One victim sustained a wound to the mouth. Following the incident, authorities closed the establishment. Police noted that the venue has been the subject of multiple previous reports regarding violent incidents, and investigations are ongoing as local criminal groups continue to operate in the area.
