Shooting in Valence, France Leaves Six Injured as Attacker Flees
On the night of 5 August, a shooter opened fire with an assault rifle on a group of young people in Valence, a city in southeastern France. Six victims – five males and one female aged between 15 and 22 – were wounded, two of them in serious condition. The gunman fled the scene in a vehicle and remains at large while police continue the investigation.
French authorities have not yet identified the attacker or established a motive. The incident follows a series of recent attacks in France and Germany, but no direct link has been confirmed.
