Shooting incidents reported in Las Cruces and Charlotte

Two separate shooting incidents occurred in the United States. In Las Cruces, New Mexico, an 18-year-old man, Jeremiah Angel Castillo, was arrested following a shooting on Friday afternoon near Idaho Avenue and Luna Street. The incident involved two men allegedly firing at one another, leaving a 36-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Castillo faces charges of aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated assault, and tampering with evidence.

In Charlotte, North Carolina, a fatal shooting occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning on the 1600 block of Montford Drive. A victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries but later died. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department stated that detectives have identified all individuals involved and are not currently seeking additional suspects.
