Man Killed in San Luis Home Assault, Two Police Injured

A 32‑year‑old man died during the early hours of Friday in a residence in the 131 Viviendas neighbourhood of San Luis, Argentina. Police were dispatched after a 911 call reporting disturbances. Officers found the man in a state of extreme agitation, breaking windows and injuring himself while his family requested assistance. Police attempted to contain him; despite 40 minutes of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, he was pronounced dead.

Two police officers were also injured in the confrontation – one sustained finger wounds and the other received a bite on his left forearm. Both received medical treatment. The incident is being investigated by the provincial Ministry of Security and the local judicial authorities, with forensic and homicide divisions processing the scene.

The case remains open pending further investigation into the circumstances that led to the fatality and the officers’ injuries.
