Shopee launches ShopeeVIP+ subscription bundling Netflix access

Shopee has launched ShopeeVIP+, a new subscription program that bundles e-commerce benefits with Netflix streaming access. This marks Netflix’s first e-commerce partnership in Southeast Asia. The program is being rolled out simultaneously in Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines.

Subscribers receive a variety of perks, including Netflix access (starting with a Mobile plan), daily free shipping vouchers with no minimum spend, and various discount vouchers. The subscription also includes benefits from other partners such as Canva Pro, ChatGPT Go, and Duolingo. In the Philippines, the Netflix Mobile plan is available starting at PHP140 per month on multi-month plans, with options to upgrade to Basic, Standard, or Premium tiers.

Shopee executives stated the move is a strategic step to engage audiences by combining shopping convenience with entertainment. Netflix representatives noted the partnership reflects a focus on building long-term relationships that deliver meaningful value to consumers in the region.
