ShopeePay launches Split Bill feature for easier expense sharing

ShopeePay has introduced a Split Bill feature designed to simplify the process of dividing expenses among friends during shared activities such as dining or coffee outings. The feature allows users to either upload a photo of a receipt or enter amounts manually.

When using the receipt scanning function, the system reads the information from the uploaded image, which users can then verify. Users can select specific items or amounts for each participant, share the bill through the app, and monitor payment statuses in real-time.

Eka Nilam Dari, President Director of ShopeePay Indonesia, stated that the feature aims to make the process of splitting bills and monitoring payments more practical as shared expenses have become a common part of daily activities.
