Trustpilot partners with Shopify to embed reviews for AI‑driven e‑commerce

Trustpilot, the leading open consumer feedback platform, has become the official partner for reviews on Shopify. An updated Trustpilot app on the Shopify App Store lets merchants link their stores directly to Trustpilot, simplifying the collection, management and display of customer reviews. The integration, which goes live on June 29, 2026, is intended to help merchants build trust as artificial‑intelligence‑driven search engines and shopping assistants increasingly rely on authentic review data.

Trustpilot CEO Adrian Blair said the partnership addresses “the key problem … how do you actually build trust with customers now in the age of AI?” and noted that Trustpilot reviews are a “canonical source” for synthetic‑content detection and AI search visibility. Shopify’s Managing Director for EMEA, Deann Evans, highlighted independent feedback as a core pillar for brand reputation in an AI‑changing retail landscape. The deal is not exclusive, and Trustpilot plans to pursue similar collaborations across other industries.
