Shopping Parque Oeste begins tenant deliveries in Luis Eduardo Magalhães, Brazil
The "Festa da Cumeeira" event on 6 August marked the start of space deliveries for the first shopping centre in Brazil’s western Bahia region, Shopping Parque Oeste. Mayor Junior Marabá attended alongside entrepreneurs, investors and franchise representatives, highlighting the project’s role in boosting commerce, leisure and jobs.
Approximately 70 % of the gross leasable area has already been sold, with national and regional brands such as Renner, Riachuelo, Cineplex, Smart Fit, Vivo, O Boticário, Burger King and others confirmed as tenants. Developer NIAD, led by CEO Eduardo Borges, noted that further opportunities remain for additional national brands, franchises and local entrepreneurs. The R$ 120 million complex sits on a 60,000 m² site, will feature about 13,000 m² of retail space, a cinema, food court, fast‑food outlets, two anchor stores, three megastores, over 60 satellite shops and more than 800 parking spaces, with an opening slated for late 2026.
