Shoriful Islam eyes return for Bangladesh's second Test against Australia

Bangladesh pacer Shoriful Islam has expressed his readiness to return to the playing XI for the second Test against Australia. The left-arm seamer missed the opening Test in Darwin due to a hamstring injury sustained during a tour of Zimbabwe.

Despite his absence, Shoriful witnessed Bangladesh secure a historic nine-wicket victory, marking their first-ever Test win on Australian soil. He noted that the injury break provided beneficial rest and rehabilitation time for his body.

As Bangladesh seeks to maintain momentum and pursue a historic series victory, Shoriful is available for selection for the upcoming match at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay. His return could provide additional options for the visitors' pace attack, which was led by Hasan Mahmud during the first Test victory.
