Short film ‘Ausência’ competes in Festival Curta Baiano

The short film ‘Ausência’, directed by André Luiz and Neilton Vieira Jr., is participating in the competitive showcase of the Festival Curta Baiano. Inspired by the poem of the same name by Vinicius de Moraes, the production explores themes of longing, affection, and memory within a relationship.

Produced during an audiovisual workshop, the film features Laisa Xermiesk as Cássia and André Luiz as João Pedro. The cinematography is handled by Messias Andrade.

A five-minute version of the film is currently available on YouTube, while a full 15-minute version is scheduled for release on YouTube on October 26. The public can vote for the Best Film award via an online form between September 4 and September 15.
