Short film festivals held in Augusta and Bari
Various short film festivals are taking place in Italy. In Augusta, the XI edition of the Shortini Film Festival concludes on September 6 at Piazza D’Astorga. The final day includes a workshop on cinema writing and directing led by Valentina Bertani and Maria Sole Limodio, followed by a musical performance by the Corpo bandistico ‘Federico II – Città di Augusta’. The event will culminate in an awards ceremony for winning short films and a screening of the documentary ‘La timidezza delle chiome’.
In Puglia, the Trani Film Festival is presenting the ‘No Stop Short’ project at the Museo Nuova Era in Bari from September 10 to 13. This initiative features a selection of international short films from the festival’s historical archives, including works from Italy, Germany, the United States, China, and several other nations. The program showcases diverse techniques such as animation, stop-motion, and live action, featuring award-winning works like Paolo Ameli’s ‘Rosso Fango’ and Francesco Filippi’s ‘Red Hands’.
