Short film ‘Águas Passadas’ to premiere in São Luís

The short film ‘Águas Passadas’ is scheduled for release this Friday, September 4, at 3:30 p.m. at Sesc Deodoro in São Luís. Produced by the Sesc LabMais 2026 short film production class, the project is a collaboration between Sesc Maranhão and Clockwork Filmes.

Written and directed by Maria Delmondes and Antonio Costa, the film is a romantic drama following the characters Valéria (played by Andrômeda) and Gabriel (played by Diego Luz). The narrative explores how an unexpected event during a single night shifts the dynamics of their intense, trust-based relationship, introducing uncertainty and changing their perceptions of one another.

The production is part of the audiovisual training and experimentation activities promoted by Sesc Maranhão through the LabMais 2026 initiative. The project involved students in various stages of filmmaking under the guidance of instructors George Pedrosa, Áurea Maranhão, and Walber Sousa.
