Short film Raíces del barro to be presented at Santa Fe Legislature

The short film ‘Raíces del barro’, written and directed by Juan Manuel Grande, will have a new presentation on Wednesday, October 21, at the Santa Fe Legislature. The free event was organized through the efforts of Provincial Senator Alcides Calvo.

Produced independently without initial financing, the film tells the story of three siblings—Lorenzo, María, and Soledad—attempting to preserve their family legacy within a complex rural environment. The narrative highlights the daily challenges faced by agricultural workers, including economic difficulties such as inflation, export retentions, and lack of profitability, alongside insecurity and climate issues.

Director Juan Manuel Grande noted that the film addresses sensitive themes related to the current political and economic reality of producers, acknowledging that the subject matter may provoke varying reactions among viewers. The film has previously held screenings in Rafaela and Humberto Primo.
