Shota Fujio transfers from FC Machida Zelvia to Kashiwa Reysol

Kashiwa Reysol has announced the permanent transfer of forward Shota Fujio from FC Machida Zelvia. The 25-year-old striker, who represented Japan at the Paris Olympics, will wear the number 15 jersey.

Fujio joins Kashiwa following a successful period at Machida, where he contributed to the club's promotion to J1 and their Emperor's Cup success. He cited Kashiwa's possession-based attacking style as a primary reason for the move, noting that the tactical shift aligns with his desire to expand his playing capabilities.

Upon his arrival, Fujio expressed his ambition to win titles and set a personal goal of scoring at least 15 goals this season. He faces competition for starting positions from fellow forwards Mahiro Hosoya and Yuki Kakita, though he expressed a desire to foster healthy competition within the squad.
