Showa launches Evo/PD shock absorber in Indonesia

Japanese automotive manufacturer Showa has introduced its new Evo/PD shock absorber, marking its world premiere at the Automechanika Jakarta 2026 event in Indonesia. The product was developed and tested in Japan before its international debut.

The Evo/PD features Position Dependence (PD) technology, which adjusts damping force based on the suspension's position and stroke depth. This allows the suspension to provide a more comfortable ride during normal use by maintaining lower damping force, while automatically increasing damping force to improve stability when the motorcycle is carrying additional weight or passengers. The product is designed for various Honda models, ranging from 110 cc to 160 cc scooters.
