Shree Charani becomes fastest Indian to reach 50 T20I wickets

Indian spinner Shree Charani has become the fastest Indian bowler, male or female, to reach 50 wickets in women’s T20I cricket. She achieved the milestone in her 29th T20I match during the first semi-final of the Women's T20 Asia Cup in Dubai.

Charani's 50th wicket came when she dismissed Bangladesh opener Juairiya Ferdous, helping India secure a victory over Bangladesh and advance to the tournament final. In the match, Charani recorded figures of 1/14 from four overs.

At 22 years and 37 days old, Charani is the second-youngest Indian to reach the 50-wicket mark, trailing only Radha Yadav. Her achievement also breaks the previous record for the fastest Indian to 50 T20I wickets, which was held by Kuldeep Yadav.
