Shrek 5 director confirms completion of voice recording

Director Conrad Vernon has announced that voice recording for Shrek 5 has officially concluded. The upcoming DreamWorks installment will feature the return of the original lead cast, including Mike Myers as Shrek, Eddie Murphy as Donkey, and Cameron Diaz as Fiona.

In addition to the original stars, the film will introduce a new generation of voice talent. Zendaya, Skyler Gisondo, and Marcello Hernández are set to voice the adult versions of Shrek and Fiona’s children: Felicia, Farklee, and Fergus. Vernon noted that while some new cast members have been revealed, several others remain secret.

The production has seen several scheduling shifts, with release dates moving from July 2026 to December, and currently eyeing a summer 2027 premiere. While the specific plot remains confidential, the film is expected to take place several years after the events of the 2010 sequel.
