Shreveport Police arrest three individuals in separate firearm-related incidents
The Shreveport Police Department has conducted several arrests involving firearms in recent operations.
Robert Turner, 34, was taken into custody on Fuller Street after being caught on bystander cell phone video brandishing a rifle-style firearm and shouting threats during a personal dispute. Officers recovered the rifle and live ammunition at the scene. Turner has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Firearm.
In separate incidents, police arrested two other individuals for gun-related offenses. Ri’Corrian Bradford was apprehended on Burke Street after refusing to comply with officer commands; he was found in possession of a handgun that had been reported stolen. He faces charges of illegal possession of a stolen firearm and negligent carrying of a handgun.
Additionally, Shomari Atkins was arrested in the Monkhouse Drive area for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, as he is legally prohibited from possessing weapons due to a prior robbery conviction.
