Shreveport Police Arrest Two Men in Separate Violence Incidents

Shreveport Police Department arrested Lonnie R. Little on a charge of second‑degree battery for a stabbing that occurred in April. The victim, found with multiple stab wounds in the 1600 block of Park Avenue, was taken to Ochsner LSU Health for treatment. Detectives linked the attack to an argument with his roommate, Little, and obtained an arrest warrant.

In a separate incident, officers responded to a welfare call at the 6400 block of Quillen Drive after a mother received texts from her daughter indicating she was being held against her will. A frantic woman escaped the residence, and Aldama Cruz was apprehended after police found a machete on the scene. Cruz was charged with false imprisonment, and the investigation remains ongoing.
