Shreveport police investigate shootings involving multiple victims and one juvenile fatality
The Shreveport Police Department is investigating a mass shooting that resulted in multiple casualties, including the death of a 13-year-old.
In one incident occurring early Saturday morning at a residence on Crestmoor Drive, seven people were injured during a house party. Investigators believe a verbal argument between two men, potentially stemming from a prior physical altercation, escalated into gunfire. One victim sustained life-threatening injuries.
In a separate reported incident near the Olde Salem Village Apartments on Buncombe Road, an unknown suspect fired multiple rounds toward a basketball court. This shooting struck three juveniles: a 2-year-old with non-life-threatening injuries, a 17-year-old in serious condition, and a 13-year-old who later died in the hospital.
Authorities are actively processing evidence and interviewing witnesses to identify the suspects in these shootings. Police are urging anyone with information or video footage to contact the Shreveport Police Department or Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers.
