Shreveport Police seek wanted suspect with sarcastic birthday post

The Shreveport Police Department has gained significant social media attention after posting a sarcastic birthday message aimed at locating a wanted suspect, Mandy Lindsey.

Lindsey is wanted on two counts of felony theft involving a boat, trailers, tools, and other property valued at over $19,000. In a viral Facebook post, the department issued a ‘birthday warrant,’ jokingly offering Lindsey ‘free transportation and complimentary lodging’ at a local correctional facility, including meals and security.

Detectives secured the warrant following an investigation that utilized surveillance footage and license plate reader technology. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Lindsey's whereabouts to contact Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers.
