Shreveport to host Prize Fest 2026 film competition

The Prize Foundation has announced the finalists for Prize Fest 2026, an event taking place in Shreveport and Bossier City, Louisiana, from October 14 to October 18. The festival features the Louisiana Film Prize, where 20 independent filmmakers will compete for a $50,000 grand prize, noted as the largest cash prize for a narrative short film globally.

The event includes a red carpet on October 15, followed by screenings of the top 20 films on October 16 and 17. Winners will be determined by a combination of industry judge panels and audience votes, which can be cast in person or online. The festival also showcases various other creative talents, including chefs, musicians, photographers, and comedians.
