Shreyas Iyer reaches career-high 4th in ICC T20I batting rankings

Indian captain Shreyas Iyer has climbed three places to a career-high fourth position in the latest ICC T20I batting rankings. His ascent follows a strong start to India’s five-match home series against the West Indies, highlighted by his maiden T20I century in Lucknow.

India currently dominates the top of the T20I batting rankings, with three players occupying the top four spots. Ishan Kishan holds the number one position with 904 rating points, followed by Abhishek Sharma in second with 891 points. Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan sits in third place with 883 points.

In other rankings, West Indies’ Roston Chase saw significant movement, rising 24 places to 23rd in the T20I bowling rankings and moving up to third in the all-rounder category. In the Test rankings, Australian batter Matthew Renshaw jumped from outside the top 100 to joint 49th following a Player of the Match performance against South Africa.
