Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust begins CEO selection

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has initiated a major administrative restructuring in Ayodhya, including the selection process for its first full-time Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Following a donation embezzlement investigation, the Trust is seeking to enhance transparency and operational efficiency.

On August 11 and 12, 2026, a high-powered three-member selection committee—comprising retired Supreme Court judge Justice Pramod Kohli, retired Lieutenant General Vishnukant Chaturvedi, and retired scientist Suresh Haware—is interviewing 18 shortlisted candidates at the Ram temple premises. These finalists were selected from over 5,300 applicants, including former bureaucrats, defense officials, and temple administrators. Candidates must meet specific criteria, including being practicing Hindus aged 50 to 70 with extensive management experience.

The committee will present three recommended names to the Trust, which is expected to make a final decision during its official meeting on September 2, 2026.

In a parallel development, CA Narpat Dukia has been appointed as the head of the Temple Operations and Management Unit, supported by Acharya Indradev Mishra. Dukia is tasked with coordinating administrative arrangements and overseeing daily religious activities, including Vedic rituals and festival organization.
