Shriya Saran condemns AI misuse and digital image manipulation

Actor Shriya Saran has spoken out against the misuse of artificial intelligence to create morphed and explicit images of women. In an interview with News18, the ‘Drishyam’ and ‘RRR’ actress described the practice as annoying and unacceptable, noting that she has also been targeted by digitally altered content.

Saran highlighted how AI is often used to manipulate women's bodies, such as changing physical proportions or altering clothing. Her comments follow similar condemnations from Janhvi Kapoor, who recently addressed an explicit AI-altered video of her song ‘Chuttamalle’. Other members of the film industry, including Jr NTR and Chiranjeevi, have also expressed concerns regarding the rise of AI-generated sexual content and the objectification of women through technology.
