Shubhendu Adhikari criticizes Mamata Banerjee and Left alliance
West Bengal Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari has launched sharp political attacks against former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the CPI(M) leadership. During public rallies in Baruipur and Garbeta, Adhikari accused the Trinamool Congress (AITC) and the Left Front of forming a new alliance to spread anarchy in the state.
Adhikari specifically mocked the perceived political connection between Mamata Banerjee and CPI(M) General Secretary M.A. Baby, referring to them as an “aunty-baby” duo. He claimed that the Trinamool Congress no longer holds political ground in West Bengal and challenged Abhishek Banerjee to contest elections, promising a decisive victory.
In Garbeta, the Chief Minister vowed to reopen criminal cases related to past violence, including the 2001 massacre in Chhota Angaria and the 2007 attacks on Nandi Gram. He also expressed confidence that the BJP would win upcoming municipal elections in Kolkata and Howrah, asserting that the public would reject the AITC and CPI(M) coalition.
