Shudder releases trailer for horror film Bloody Tennis

Shudder has released the official trailer for ‘Bloody Tennis’, a new horror film directed by Nikias Chryssos. The movie, which recently premiered in the Fuori Concorso section at the 2026 Locarno Film Festival, is described as a blend of sports drama, psychological horror, and grotesque humor.

The plot follows Sophie, played by Sandra Guldberg Kampp, a young woman accepted into an elite tennis academy in Southern Europe. As she pursues professional success, she discovers that the academy's intense competitive environment is fueled by sinister undercurrents, obsession, and hallucinatory elements. The film explores the psychological cost of ambition and whether the drive to win requires sacrificing one's identity and empathy.

‘Bloody Tennis’ is scheduled to begin streaming on Shudder on September 25, 2026.
