Shudder to Release V/H/S MIXTAPE Horror Anthology Featuring RZA, Ernest Dickerson, Flying Lotus

Shudder, the AMC Networks‑owned streaming service, announced that the ninth installment of its V/H/S horror anthology, titled V/H/S MIXTAPE, will debut on October 9. The film brings together a diverse creative roster, including hip‑hop pioneer RZA, veteran director Ernest Dickerson, musician‑director Flying Lotus, as well as contributions from David Moreau, Renee Zhan, Tobias Forge and the metal group GWAR. The anthology’s theme centers on music and sound as sources of terror, blending cosmic horror, psychological suspense and practical effects.

The new entry follows last year’s V/H/S HALLOWEEN, which was the most‑watched exclusive film premiere on Shudder and AMC+ in 2025, driving the platform’s biggest acquisition weekend of the year. Producers Josh Goldbloom, Steven Schneider, Roy Lee, Michael Schreiber and Brad Miska, along with executive producers Ben Ross and Rami Yassin, are behind the project, continuing the franchise’s strategy of pairing genre veterans with boundary‑pushing artists to retain subscribers.
