Shueisha ends outsourcing agreement with editor Shihei Hayashi

Shueisha has announced the termination of its outsourcing agreement with editor Shihei Hayashi and his company, Mix Green, regarding operations for the manga application ‘Shonen Jump+’. Hayashi, a prominent editor known for his work on major titles such as ‘Chainsaw Man’, ‘SPY×FAMILY’, and ‘Dandadan’, had been working with Shueisha as an independent contractor since leaving the company in 2022.

Under the new arrangement, the manga series previously managed by Hayashi will continue their serialization on ‘Shonen Jump+’ under a new editorial structure. However, Hayashi’s company, Mix Green, stated that they will continue to handle editorial duties for four specific titles—‘SPY×FAMILY’, ‘Dandadan’, ‘Centuria’, and ‘WITCHRIV’—through direct contracts established between Mix Green and the respective manga artists.
