Shueisha Games announces BAKUDO for Nintendo Switch 2

Shueisha Games has confirmed that BAKUDO, a sci-fi ball-sport action game developed by SAYIL Games, will launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam in 2027. The announcement was made during Nintendo’s Indie World showcase on October 28, 2026.

BAKUDO is a single-player boss-rush title set at Soliris Academy. Players control Yuria, a student in the Coreball Department searching for clues regarding her missing father. The gameplay focuses on defeating the ‘Stellar Eight’, the academy’s top-ranked students, within a ten-day period. The narrative involves uncovering a secret that could decide the fate of the world.

New promotional materials released alongside the announcement include a new logo, key visuals, and a trailer highlighting central characters: Yuria, her partner and inventor Evie, and the top-ranked rival Aria. The game will support English, Japanese, and Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
