Shueisha Games announces HOSHiN ENGi Re:surrection for 2027

Shueisha Games and developer LASTWONDER have announced HOSHiN ENGi Re:surrection, an action roguelite game scheduled for release in 2027. The title will be available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

Set in the fantasy world of Ryu Fujisaki’s Hoshin Engi manga, the game features an original story following the events of the original series. Players control Toshin, a new protagonist and disciple of Taikobo, who travels alongside the spiritual creature Chuchue Doji to face new threats. The gameplay focuses on exploring changing dungeons and utilizing Paope, mythological treasures used by gods and immortals, to create unique combat builds.

Returning characters from the manga include Taikobo, Supushan, Yozen, Nataku, and Koh Tenka. Players can interact with these allies at a base to strengthen bonds, which provides combat support and training opportunities. The game features hand-drawn visuals supervised by Fujisaki.
