Shueisha Games Announces 'Season of Books and Keys' Adventure Game for Switch and PC

Shueisha Games revealed on July 31 that it will release a drama‑like adventure game titled 『本と鍵の季節』 (Season of Books and Keys) for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, slated for a winter launch. The game adapts Yonezawa Honobu’s novel, featuring a bitter‑sweet high‑school mystery set in a school library.

The title will include full‑voice performances, vibrant illustrations, and a new original episode called “Used Strange Tale.” Character designs are based on original artwork by illustrator Danji Yoko, and the voice cast includes Koki Urawa as Jiro Horigawa and Yūichirō Umehara as Shimon Matsukura. The release aims to blend reading, visual, and auditory experiences into a single interactive narrative.

The game will be published by Shueisha Games and developed by iMel Co., supporting Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese languages.
