Shueisha launches MANGA MILLION free digital manga project

Shueisha has launched ‘MANGA MILLION’, a large-scale digital project to celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary. The platform offers free online access to nearly 400 manga titles, totaling approximately 1 million pages, without requiring user registration or paid subscriptions.

The project aims to reduce language barriers by providing content in over 100 languages. The collection includes major hits such as ‘One Piece’, ‘Naruto’, ‘Demon Slayer’, and ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’, as well as over 150 shojo manga titles. Notably, many works are being released in languages for which no official translation previously existed.

To increase accessibility for ongoing series, Shueisha will implement a ‘near-simultaneous distribution’ mechanism starting in mid-August. This will allow approximately 30 serialized titles to be available on the platform roughly two to three weeks after their official Japanese publication. The service is scheduled to remain available until the end of December 2027.
