Shuhei Taniguchi announces Pro Wrestling NOAH retirement matches

Pro Wrestling NOAH wrestler Shuhei Taniguchi has announced his retirement schedule following his initial retirement announcement on October 4. Taniguchi, 49, cited deformed osteoarthritis in both ankles as the reason for his decision, noting that the condition had worsened since late last year to the point of affecting his daily life.

Two commemorative events have been scheduled. The first will take place on December 10 at the Kurayoshi City Taiiku Bunka Kaikan in his hometown of Kurayoshi. His final retirement match is set for January 10 at Korakuen Hall. While the specific opponent for his last match has not yet been determined, Taniguchi expressed a desire to compete against senior wrestlers from his early years in the promotion.

Taniguchi joined Pro Wrestling NOAH in 2005 after a background in wrestling through the Japan Self-Defense Forces. Throughout his career, he has performed under various personas, including the masked wrestler 'Maybach Taniguchi,' and has been a mainstay of the promotion for nearly two decades.
