Shuib apologizes to Jep Sepahtu following podcast controversy

Comedian and entrepreneur Shuib (Shahmira Muhamad) has issued a public apology to fellow comedian Jep Sepahtu following a recent controversy. The conflict arose after a recording of the Dols Podcast, featuring Shuib and Mamat, was perceived to have mocked or alluded to Jep, specifically regarding performance fees during their time in the comedy groups Sepah and Sepahtu.

Shuib stated that he had reached out to Jep via WhatsApp less than 24 hours after Jep’s initial social media statement on October 8 to express regret for his and Mamat’s actions. Shuib described the subsequent week as a difficult period, noting that he, his wife, his children, and his business faced significant online criticism and insults.

Shuib expressed his desire to resolve the conflict and hoped to restore their long-standing friendship, which has spanned much of his professional life.
