Shunsuke Kazama and Kohei Shoji to star in film adaptation of drama
The popular TV Tokyo drama “40-made ni Shitai 10 no Koto” will be adapted into a feature film, scheduled for nationwide release in Japan on January 22, 2027. The announcement was made during a fan meeting event featuring lead actors Shunsuke Kazama and Kohei Shoji.
Kazama and Shoji will reprise their roles as Suzume Tojo and Keiji Tanaka, respectively. The film will follow the characters as they navigate the complexities of their relationship as lovers while balancing their professional lives. The production will also feature returning cast members including Yuki Hirako, Amon Hirai, Riko Takayama, Keisuke Watanabe, Yui Yokoyama, Sae Miyazawa, and the voice work of Kotono Mitsuishi.
Based on the manga by Mamita, the film is expected to draw heavily from the second volume of the original work. To celebrate the announcement, a “10 Things to Do Before the Movie” campaign has been launched, including collaborations with hotels and themed cafes.
