Shunsuke Michieda to star in Prime Video series ‘M.I.S.S.I.O.N.’

The Prime Video original series ‘M.I.S.S.I.O.N. Kageki na Sennyu Sosakan’ (M.I.S.S.I.O.N. Operatic Undercover Agent) is set to begin exclusive streaming on September 14. The production features Shunsuke Michieda of the idol group Naniwa Danshi in the lead role, playing an elite detective named Kanata Matsumi who undergoes an undercover mission involving a musical university.

Naniwa Danshi will perform the series' theme song, a new track titled ‘BLACK OUT MISSION’ written specifically for the project. Michieda described the song as having a ‘dark atmosphere’ that differs from the group’s usual image and noted that it reflects the traditions of their agency.

A 60-second trailer has been released, showcasing Michieda’s character performing in a musical production titled ‘Last Love Vampire.’ The cast includes Shiori Kubo, Nagisa Shibuya, and Masahiro Takashima.
