timelesz member Shuto Inomata arrested on suspicion of assault

Shuto Inomata, a member of the eight-member J-pop idol group timelesz, was arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident on September 18. The alleged assault occurred inside a vehicle parked at a convenience store in Koto Ward, Tokyo, where Inomata is accused of striking a female acquaintance in the face, causing a bloody nose. Inomata has reportedly denied the charges, stating that his hand merely hit her during an argument.

Following the arrest, STARTO ENTERTAINMENT suspended Inomata from all group activities and issued an apology to the victim. The remaining seven members of timelesz released statements via their official fan blog expressing deep regret and shame. Member Fuma Kikuchi specifically noted that the situation left him “ashamed and filled with regret.”

The incident has had immediate professional consequences. Major broadcasters, including Nippon Television, have begun editing or altering scheduled appearances to remove Inomata’s footage. Additionally, several commercial partners, including ABC Mart, Nissin Foods, and AOKI, have removed related advertisements or promotional images from their websites. The case has been forwarded to prosecutors for further investigation.
