Shweta Tiwari receives apology from online abuser

Indian actress Shweta Tiwari has received a written apology from an individual who had targeted her with derogatory and abusive language on social media. The incident began after Tiwari shared screenshots of offensive comments directed at women, questioning whether such behavior was acceptable from individuals claiming to be supporters of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray.

Following her public outcry, MNS member and advocate Snehal Adarkar contacted the actress to clarify that the party does not support or condone such conduct. Adarkar confirmed that the individuals involved were not actual members of the MNS. Within three days of the contact, the MNS team helped trace the individual, providing Tiwari with the person's phone number and a handwritten apology letter.

Tiwari expressed her gratitude to Adarkar and the MNS team for their swift and proactive response. While she appreciated the resolution, she also noted the broader issue of widespread online harassment faced by women.
