SHY, LOW release title track from upcoming album Purity Spiral

Richmond, Virginia-based instrumental band SHY, LOW has released the title track and music video for their upcoming album, ‘Purity Spiral’. The album is scheduled for release on October 16 via Pelagic Records.

The new single, ‘Purity Spiral’, explores themes of technological dependency and its impact on human relationships and self-isolation. The band describes the track as an exploration of how the ‘worship’ of growth can lead to a loss of humanity and the destruction of social bonds.

Musically, the band is noted for blending post-rock and post-metal with elements of ambient minimalism and cinematic atmosphere. The upcoming work is described as being meticulously crafted with a heavier sound, utilizing dynamic contrasts and layered textures to build tension.
