Shyam Steel launches ₹1,500‑crore expansion project in West Bengal

Shyam Steel held a foundation‑stone ceremony on 17 July 2026 for a new ₹1,500‑crore (about $180 million) expansion at Mejia in Bankura district, West Bengal, India. The event was inaugurated by West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and attended by senior government officials, industry leaders and company executives.
