Si Woo Kim and Tom Kim selected for Hero World Challenge

South Korean golfers Si Woo Kim and Tom Kim have been named to the initial 17-player roster for the Hero World Challenge. The event, hosted by the Tiger Woods Foundation, will take place from December 3 for four days at the Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas. The tournament is an unofficial PGA Tour event with a $5 million prize pool, inviting only the top 20 players based on world rankings.

Si Woo Kim, currently ranked 14th in the world, will make his debut at the event following a successful PGA Tour season where he surpassed $10 million in earnings. Tom Kim, ranked 30th at the time of the selection, also secured his spot.

In addition to the Hero World Challenge, Si Woo Kim has been announced as a player for the Motor City Golf Club in the TGL screen golf league for the 2027 season. Tom Kim is also set to continue with Jupiter GC in the TGL. The Hero World Challenge field includes several top-10 players, such as Scottie Scheffler and Hideki Matsuyama, though Tiger Woods' participation remains uncertain.
