Siano resident Serafina Di Filippo dies on wedding day

Serafina Di Filippo, a 37-year-old mother, passed away on Saturday, August 22, due to a sudden cardiac arrest on the day of her wedding. The incident occurred in Siano, a town in the Naples province, after she reportedly experienced chest and arm pains in the preceding days.

Emergency responders transported her to the Umberto I Hospital in Nocera Inferiore, where medical staff attempted resuscitation. Despite these efforts, she died shortly after arrival.

The Mayor of Siano, Giorgio Marchese, who was scheduled to officiate the ceremony, expressed profound condolences to the Di Filippo and Fimiani families. He issued a spontaneous request to the community to suspend all festivities, music, and entertainment for two days as a gesture of respect and solidarity with the grieving family, particularly for the woman's young daughter, Rosa.
