SIATT opens new missile and propulsion plant in Brazil

SIATT has launched the first phase of a new 6,200-square-meter industrial unit in Caçapava, São Paulo, to expand its production of strategic defense and space systems. The facility is designed to centralize various stages of the industrial cycle, including the development, manufacturing, integration, testing, and qualification of high-complexity systems such as missiles, guided rockets, and propulsion engines.

The expansion follows the 2023 acquisition of a 50% stake in SIATT by the UAE-based EDGE Group. This partnership aims to strengthen Brazil's national defense chain and create export opportunities for domestically developed technologies. One key product to be manufactured is the MANSUP (National Surface Anti-Ship Missile), which is intended to equip the Brazilian Navy's Tamandaré-class frigates.

SIATT, officially classified by the Brazilian Ministry of Defense as a Strategic Defense Company, continues to expand its presence in the Vale do Paraíba region, building upon previous infrastructure established in São José dos Campos.
